Kin Canada Organizational Structure

Kin Canada’s Structure

Kin Canada is an all-Canadian Association comprised of service clubs. While the administration of Kin Canada as a national body is headquartered in Cambridge, Ontario, hundreds of independently incorporated service clubs operate from coast to coast to coast.

Organizational Structure

Clubs

Kinsmen, Kinette, and Kin clubs are groups of volunteer- and community-minded individuals who join their local clu to make a difference in their community, meet new friends in their area, and expand their skills. Together, volunteer members decide how they can best serve the local needs of their community through fundraising and service projects.

Every year, clubs elect an executive team that consists of a President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. Many clubs will also include a Registrar and Bulletin Editor(s). The role of the executive team is to manage the operational details of the club. The Club President also acts as the liaison between the club and the Zone Deputy Governor.

Zones

Clubs are grouped into zones with a small number of other clubs in their immediate region. Each Zone has a Deputy Governor who offers support to clubs.

Districts

Zones are grouped into eight larger regions across the country called Districts. Each District is led by an elected District Governor and their District Executive team. The District team hosts events for clubs in their province or larger region and acts as a key support for clubs.

National Board of Directors

The National Board of Directors is comprised of elected Kin Canada members. As a board, these elected members define Kin Canada’s vision, policies, and ends (purposes) based on the needs of the membership and the Association. The board is comprised of the Kin Canada National President, National Vice-President, Past National President, National Secretary, and seven National Directors.
