Description of project | Tickets were purchased through our new Kin website. Money was e-transferred to the Kin bank account prior to the tickets being considered 'purchased' by the club. The raffle tickets were $5/ticket. The winner of the draw, which occurred on a set date then won a 3 minute shopping spree at the local Co-op. There was a dollar value of up to $450 that could be spent by the winner. Money raised went to the Kin Foundation |

What were some challenges you faced with this project, and how could your project be improved? | Could have sold more tickets. Otherwise the project went well. It was helpful to have a website to keep ticket sales organized and minimize contact with persons during the COVID times. |

What were the expenses for this project? | The shopping spree itself and the building of the website. The website is being used by the club for other projects though. |
Is there anything else you would like to share that would assist another club in duplicating this project in their community? | A list of rule was created to outline some safety concerns and set limits on what could be bought: Kinette Club of Vanderhoof “3-Minute Supermarket Sweeps” Rules 1. No tobacco products; no pharmacy items (ie. No medications - Tylenol, Advil, cough syrups, etc) 2. There will be a limit of FIVE of the same product; anything above the limit will be taken off at the check-out 3. Items must be placed in the cart individually by hand (no tossing items, no running down the aisle with your arms on the shelves knocking items into the cart) 4. You will not be allowed to backtrack to get items in an aisle you have already been down 5. Anything that falls out of the cart does not count and must be picked up. No items are to be left on the floor. If anything is left on the floor, it will be deducted at check-out from a similar/like item 6. Cart must be delivered to the check-out as you fill them/finish the aisle and an empty one will be provided. Anything in the final cart when time runs out will count towards your total 7. Date and time of Sweeps to be agreed upon by the winner, Co-op and the Vanderhoof Kinette Club, but will be held within two weeks after the prize draw 8. Route winner takes through store will be provided on Sweep Day 9. Winner agrees to have picture taken on the day of the Supermarket Sweeps shopping Spree. * Supermarket Sweeps tickets can only be purchased by persons 19 years and older. ** Winner may choose a pinch-runner if necessary to do the actual Sweep. |
